Remembering Brodie...
Pet PortraitsComment
This Narrative Pet Portrait celebrates Brodies life, his love of the beach, play time, snoozing in his chair, which he had a 'paw' in altering...notice the duct tape! Such a fun, happy memory piece for Jonathan and Jennifer.
Riggley!
Pet PortraitsCommentBad Ass Art...
Commissioned Art, Pet Portraits4 CommentsIt was great fun to create this composition encompassing all the lovely animals at the "Bad Ass Sheep Farm". I had the pleasure of visiting the Hendricks Farm over the Holidays when I was visiting family and friends in Wisconsin and meeting all these adorable creatures. Very helpful to capture the spirit of this commission. In the painting: their chickens...(sorry I don't have names) Dogs: Joy and Bo, Jack (Sparro) the kitty cat, Jacob Sheep Ewes: Rachel and Rebecca, Romney Sheep: 769 & Pitchfork and last, but not least, Penny..the (not so) bad ass! Oh...and the bees, they even make their own fabulous honey...from the Division of Angry Bees! Such lovely people and an idealic little farm, thanks Beth Ann & John!
Penny!
Jacob Sheep Ewes, Rachel and Rebecca...love their markings!

Mr. Kilo...an adorable Shih tzu!
Pet PortraitsCommentI'm the first to admit, smaller dogs are more of a challenge for me - but I love how this Pet Portrait Print of Mr. Kilo turned out, and especially the color scheme of this piece (my client's idea). He is an adorable little Shih Tzu.
Hudson & Holly...Kentucky Goldens
Pet PortraitsCommentI just shipped this completed Pet Portrait of Golden Retrievers, Hudson & Holly, to their owners in Kentucky. Another Christmas Gift order completed and crossed off my list, my client gave them the preliminary sketch as the gift and they gave me final edits, it was a welcomed gift. Beautiful pups!
Some belated fun pics from my Holiday Open Studio:

Better late than never...I'm going to see if I can make up for some lost time and share a bit more from 2011. This means no more Facebook at the studio, unless it's business related. Even then I will limit the time and schedule it for the end of the day or I do it at home...please help keep me accountable!
A lovey little feature from Chicago Canine Concierge:
Press & Published ...1 CommentI was honored to have my work featured and be interviewed by Chicago Canine Concierge...a wonderful Chicago area Pet Service Referral Business that is also very active in supporting pet adoption and animal welfare causes. You can read the full interview here.
And I know...I've been a horrible blogger, I had grand plans for catching up in January and look at the date! Hopefully February will be that 'catch up' month!
